Garry Huata’s experience and credentials demonstrate his trustworthiness and loyalty without compromise, having worked the last ten years within the public sector in two positions of trust.

Following his education at Christchurch Boys’ High School, he completed his Honours Degree in Geography at the University of Canterbury then started his career in London, before returning to Ashburton to teach. Garry found this role beneficial in developing his proficient people skills. “I spent three and a half years working in a role that required patience, honesty, and enthusiasm, I enjoyed it immensely”.

Garry also worked as a Constable for six years, walking the beat of Christchurch City before joining a dedicated investigation team, which led to him becoming experienced in negotiation, networking and public relations. “In the police I learned valuable life lessons”. A quote that represents Garry and is commonly associated with the police is, ‘Integrity is not negotiable’.

Garry is Christchurch born and he has invested a lot of energy and passion into the Canterbury district community. While being involved in the police was very rewarding he knows the real estate industry will incorporate his love of people, community and property. “I truly believe that people who want to sell or buy their home will feel confident that they are being represented fairly and with total integrity, I offer this promise to all my clients”.
